Taking the Plunge! Alex Bungee Jumps for Charity

In order to raise money for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, our very own Small Business Unit Account Handler, Alex Melville, bravely completed a bungee jump with her friend at Killiecrankie.

Alex and her friend Ruth took the plunge on the 3rd of February in order to raise money as a thank you for the amazing help that Alex’s cousin received whilst in hospital.

Here’s Alex’s story on her JustGiving page:

At the end of July last year, Alex’s little cousin Conal had an accident on a quad bike. He needed two operations to put a metal frame on his leg which he has had on ever since during his recovery.

I’m looking to raise money for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity to thank them for all of their incredible work and support they provided Conal and my family during his difficult two weeks in hospital. If it hadn’t been for the amazing doctors and nurses, Conal would have surely lost his leg.

As one of GS Group’s nominated charities, we’re delighted that Alex has successfully raised over £300 already through JustGiving and Sponsor Forms.

The Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity (formerly Yorkhill Children’s Charity) has a strong mission to ensure that young patients and their families receive the best possible care and experience. The charity requires continued support to fund enhanced medical equipment, family support services and groundbreaking research to help the 160,000 babies, children and young people who are treated there every year.

Well done Alex!
